Taxi
Taxis in Yangon are widely available although they are not metered. While the taxis usually lack comfort and air condition, most rides cost only between one to three US dollars. However, it would be advisable to find a taxi whose windows close properly during the rainy season, lest you wish to be soaked. Since there are no taxi meters, the fare should be negotiated before the ride starts. If you are going somewhere not as well known, you should request someone to write the address on paper in Myanmar to show the driver, or ask someone from the hotel to explain.
